BIBLE- Scientists have discovered the earliest known Hebrew writing — an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign. The breakthrough could mean that portions of the Bible were written centuries earlier than previously thought. (The Bible's Old Testament is thought to have been first written down in an ancient form of Hebrew.) Until now, many scholars have held that the Hebrew Bible originated in the 6th century B.C., because Hebrew writing was thought to stretch back no further. But the newly deciphered Hebrew text is about four centuries older, scientists announced this month. |

| "It indicates that the Kingdom of Israel already existed in the 10th century BCE and that at least some of the biblical texts were written hundreds of years before the dates presented in current research," said Gershon Galil, a professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Haifa in Israel, who deciphered the ancient text. RAPTURE DOCTRINE- It may come as a surprise but the doctrine of the Rapture is not mentioned in any Christian writings, of which we have knowledge, until after the year 1830 C.E. Whether the early writers were Greek or Latin, Armenian or Coptic, Syrian or Ethiopian, English or German, orthodox or heretic, no one mentioned it before 1830 (though a sentence in Pseudo-Dionysius in about 500 C.E. could be so interpreted). Of course, those who feel the origin of the teaching is in the Bible would say that it ceased being taught for some unknown reason at the close of the apostolic age only to reappear in 1830. But if the doctrine were so clearly stated in Scripture, it seems incredible that no one should have referred to it before the 19th century. The lateness of the doctrine does not necessarily mean the teaching is wrong (only the plain statements of the Bible can reveal that). It does show that thousands of eminent scholars over seventeen centuries (including the most astute “Christian Fathers” and those of the Reformation and post-Reformation periods) must be considered prophetic dunces for not having understood so fundamental a teaching. This lapse of seventeen centuries when no one elaborated on the doctrine must be viewed as an obstacle to accepting its reliability. Reference |

1 Kings 11 (King James Version) 2 Kings 19 2 Kings 21:4 1 Chronicles 23 Isaiah 4 Isaiah 24 Isaiah 33 Jeremiah 3 17 Zechariah 8:3 Zechariah 14 John 14 Hebrews 12 Revelation 3:12 Revelation 14 Revelation 21 In the end Heaven will be on earth. The city of Jerusalem will contain the throne. God can protect us from anything, what would be the purpose of taking us off the earth only to return us unless we are asleep and waiting. Our bodies of dust will be no more and our spiritual bodies will be immortal in Christ. This transformation happens in the twinkling of an eye.
Ultimately The only danger in the belief of the rapture doctrine is: IF that faith does not include the knowledge that Satan disguised as Christ will come first to decieve all. This fact makes the timing of a "Rapture" extremely important to salvation. If Jesus is the one to take you home belief in how, when or where is inmaterial as it will happen whether or not you believe in it so long as Belief that Jesus Christ died and rose, Repentence, Surrender, Baptism, study of the word, abidance of the law and works for God come first. |
